Fran Dellaserra

 I have been fortunate to teach in the Diocese of Sacramento for 37 years. This will be my 14 years at St. Mel School. I was hired to teach science and PE at Sacred Heart School before working at St, Mel. I am a New York City gal who attended Catholic Schools from K through college, moving to California to attend college at the University of San Francisco. After playing college basketball and earning my BA in science and PE, I earned my MA in exercise science at Sacramento State. I am a math and science specialist, but also enjoy teaching writing and working with junior high students. I am a member of the Leadership team and the Yearbook Moderator. My husband and I have 3 children, who are alumni of St. Mel and attribute their educational success to the solid foundation that St. Mel School provided. While I’m not watching the NY Yankees or grading papers, I enjoy working out, playing guitar, and basically playing any sport.
