My name is Andrea Alcovendaz and I have been working for the Diocese of Sacramento for 14 years. I began as an Instructional aide in 2011 and then began my teaching career here at St. Mel in 2015.
I was born in San Francisco, CA and moved to Sacramento when I was four. I received Catholic education from elementary school to high School and graduated from CSU Sacramento. I earned my teaching credential through the Sacramento County Office of Education Credentialing Program.
My husband Marco and I have two children that attend St. Mel. We enjoy cheering on our favorite sports teams and traveling with them.
Kindergarten was always my dream grade to teach and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the St. Mel School as both a teacher and parent. I enjoy being a part of and witnessing student growth academically, emotionally, and spiritually and seeing all the amazing things they do and accomplish in Kindergarten!
