Whitney Mehrkens is honored to serve as the Director of Saint Mel Preschool. Originally from San Jose, she moved to the Sacramento area over a decade ago to be closer to family and to continue her education.
With more than 12 years of experience in faith-based early childhood education, including over four years running her own licensed home daycare, Whitney has dedicated her career to creating safe, loving, and enriching environments where children can grow spiritually, socially, and academically.
While she enjoys working with children of all ages, preschool has always been her favorite stage of development. She finds daily joy in witnessing the curiosity, creativity, and growth of young learners.
Outside of the classroom, Whitney is a wife and a proud mom to two wonderful sons. Her home is shared with three dogs and a fish, making life lively and full of surprises.
Whitney feels truly blessed to be part of the Saint Mel community and is committed to supporting families during these foundational early years.
