My name is Maria Nunez, I was born in Mexico and moved to the USA when I was 11 years old. Going to school was hard since I didn’t speak a word of English. I went to Marina Village in El Dorado Hills then went to Ponderosa High School where I graduated in 2006. This is my second year teaching Spanish here at St. Mel and I absolutely love it, and looking forward to many more.
I love bringing my culture in to the school and showing the students. I have two kids, a 15 years old daughter and 13 year old boy, on my free time I enjoy paddle boarding, going on hikes, walks around the lake, St. Mel is a great community and look forward to another great year and more to come.
