My name is Amanda Galli Cruz and I am the fourth-grade teacher here at St. Mel School. This is my third year teaching here. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where I attended Catholic school from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Liberal Studies and then went on to receive my Teaching Credential and Masters of Art in Education from The University of San Francisco. After graduation, I knew my heart belonged in Catholic education. Before coming to St. Mel School I taught 4th grade in the Archdiocese of San Francisco for five years. I currently live in Rocklin with my husband and 1-year-old son. I couldn’t be happier that our move to Sacramento brought me here to St. Mel School to continue my journey in Catholic education.
