Hello! My name is Megan French and I am the Principal at St. Mel School. Go, Fighting Irish!

This is my first year at St. Mel School and I feel so blessed to be in such a nurturing and Christ-centered community where the top priority is to educate the whole child.

I began my career in education in 2013 working in the Oakland Diocese at Queen of All Saints School in Concord, CA where I was able to teach 1st grade, 4th grade, and 8th grade as well as serve as the school’s Vice-Principal from 2018-2020.

I attended St. Mary’s College of California where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal & Civic Studies, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Administrative Services Credential, and Master of Arts in Educational Administration.

Catholic Education has been instrumental in every phase of my life. I grew up in the Sacramento Diocese where I attended Holy Family School from Preschool-8th grade and continued my Catholic education every step of the way through my Masters program.

I look forward to working closely within this vibrant community to deliver a world-class educational experience to each student and to prepare the next generation of future leaders.
